Where does this audio content come from? The audio on journaljunkie comes direct from medical journals or from audio produced by journaljunkie. We provide linking and subscription management services to the journals that already podcast ( i.e. Lancet, BMJ, NEJM, and JAMA) and produce our own audio summaries for Annals of Internal Medicine and PLos Medicine. We will steadily increase our coverage of other high impact medical journals. Annals of Internal Medicine was selected because it is one of the highest impact factor medical journals that does not have its own podcast and we chose PLoS Medicine because it is one of the most rapidly rising stars on the impact factor scale - most likely because its free online. Please tell us what other journals you would like to see on JJ. Is JournalJunkie free?
Yes. Subscription to this service is free.
Is JournalJunkie independent?
Yes. JournalJunkie was created by two independent health professionals who understand the challenge of staying up to date while maintaining a busy professional life. The small amount of advertising on the site is JournalJunkie's only revenue. This service is not underwritten by any health-related organisation.
